Reiki for the CPD's 8th District
/We love introducing police officers to reiki, and they almost always love it, too! During our day at the 8th District, we had some happy recipients.

Officers seem to grapple with whether or not trying reiki is cool, sophisticated, professional, tough enough for a LEO. Those who overcame the stigma around reiki—and around being a cop—were rewarded.
We usually start with higher stress levels in this population and greater reductions. We can’t complain that these folks were less stressed to begin with, and are happy with the pain reiki was able to reduce.
While Joanna is a Reiki Brigade veteran, this was Barb’s first outing with us. She hit it out of the park and is eager to join us again next time. Thanks ladies, and thanks to the 8th for having us!
